Charli XCX Embraces a Twisted Persona of Her Own Identity in Fictional Documentary First Look

The celebrated musician is getting ready for a significant film onslaught in 2026, beginning with the mockumentary titled The Moment.

Within the project, Charli embodies what she refers to as a hell version of her public image.

It’s the most authentic portrayal of the music business that I’ve ever witnessed, Charli remarked.

She elaborated in a discussion: It’s far from a live performance documentary, however the inspiration originated from the expectation to make one.

A Sneak Peek into The Moment

The first teaser, unveiled on Thursday, combines real clips from her recent tour with imagined backstage scenes.

The film is directed and co-written by her collaborator, who shared that the plot centers on a scenario where the singer made entirely different choices throughout the promotion of her hugely successful record Brat.

A Busy Acting Schedule

The mockumentary is a single one of numerous upcoming screen roles for the musician, who already starred in three cinematic festival entries this year.

Future Ventures

The coming year will also include the star alongside Olivia Wilde in erotic drama I Want Your Sex, Natalie Portman in art world thriller The Gallerist, and Barbie Ferreira in horror remake Faces of Death.

Additionally, she signed on to appear in the star’s first film as director A Tree in Blue.
